I remember His Promises. I do not forget what He has told me. I believe without a doubt that His zeal will accomplish this.
My own weakness cannot stop my God from holding true to His promises.
In this season, I am remembering all what He has whispered to me. Sometimes I think that I have strayed too far, that I am no longer what He has declared, no longer worthy. But I am reminded:
God Is Faithful Even When I Am Not.
I hold onto this truth, for it is my anchor of hope. If I could not hope in this, then I would have given in to this fallen world thinking this is as good as it gets...
PRAISE THE LORD that He offers us second chances. He pours out mercy and grace again and again.
Grace and Glory
"Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters, and you who have no money come, buy and eat... and delight yourself in abundance... for you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace..." Isa. 55

i am committed
hello dear friends!
goodness! life has been so hectic. I never knew how easily it could be to lose focus.
It is time for deliberate planning on spending time with my marvelous God, not only that, but actually laboring in the secret place, cultivating a growing intimacy with the Lover of my soul. Without this discipline, I cannot hope to really know my Redeemer. Relationship take work and determination; love is not limited to a euphoria rush. I must pursue this Man that has sought out the deepest components of my heart. I must finish this race and not only finish, but win...

08 October 2010
With the weather cooling off and different festivals starting, it is natural to want someone special to spend it with. But just as one of my friends was saying, this should be a time where we press into Jesus, the Lover of our soul. This is true love.
I know God has that certain one out there for me and i eagerly anticipate to know him, but until then, I want to say that I have kept myself pure and steady in the love of God. He fulfills my every desire for acceptance, attention, and emotional needs.
I really wish I could just steal her note, she says it so well, but I just want to say that Jesus is our best Lover and He is only person that can satisfy us. I want to be swept off my feet... by the Lord.

Purity Is My Portion
What is the point in staying pure? I keep asking myself this question... Is it just because God told me to? Well, I guess that can be a Sunday-school answer. Matthew tells us that "the pure in heart will see God." What is the big deal about purity though? I feel like God's answer to me is this:
You are made for something so much bigger and deeper than these lesser pleasures. I created you for the purpose of intimacy with Me. I placed those desires in you so that one day, you would invite me in to satisfy them. When you reject what I offer and indulge in worldly sins, you reject Me. You desensitize your heart and fill it with so much garbage to the point that nothing good is able to enter (or come out!). You believe that the pleasures the world has to offer will some how satisfy your deepest longings, yet what you do not see is the end of that path- destruction and pain.
Those who seek Me with a pure heart will find me.
Purity allows me to see God clearly, without corruption. Purity is what marks us as followers of Christ; we are not of the world, set apart- holy. I can fellowship with God in the holy of holies, because He called me for the very purpose of being pure and whole before Him.
Purity is worth pursuing.
"If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. Run form anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts." - 2 Tim. 2:21, 22

seasons
So this is fall....
My mind turns somber at just thought of the seasons changing. Not because I am sad, I adore autumn, but it is the fact that life is beginning the process of dwindling... yet even though everything appears dead to the surface, that does not mean there is not life hidden. It is still thriving and growing.

love.
(side note. I am no scholar but just a lovesick daughter learning more and more about my Father in heaven. I do not know how much is theologically correct, but I am not trying to be. My heart is to discover what true life is through simple revelations God gives me. Maybe one day I might be more scholarly sounding, but today, I am not.)
Gal. 5:6 "What is important is faith expressed in love."
------> If it is not, then is it really faith?
1 Cor. 13: 1,2 "If I could speak in all the languages of earth and of angels, but did not love others, I would be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if i understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had faith that I could move mountains, but did not love others, I would be nothing."
------> So, if i do not express my faith with love, then it says I am nothing. My faith is worthless. Faith has to be rooted and established in love.
The reason why I say this is because as Christians, we ask for power and authority to be bold or witness or other such things God has indeed called us to do. We might have faith that God can do this, but we wonder why we do not see the manifestation of His power more often. Why is that? I have reason to believe that is our lack of love, especially the church in America. One moment we are back biting our "friends" and speaking down on them; the next we are praying for healing, miracles, or deliverance of some sort. Why would God want to pay attention to such prayers mixed with bitterness and slander? (I am guilty as anyone. Also, I am not saying God does not listen to our prayers because of our sin. He loves us so much and he understands we are just humans. He knows our love is small, yet He cherishes any amount of it. He sees us... Every glance towards Him moves His heart.)
We lack the very foundational element of Christianity at its roots-- love.
We as Christians need to throw away our bitterness and anger and learn to forgive one another just as Christ forgave us (Eph. 4:31, 32). If we really want to start seeing supernatural acts of God, then we need to love one another.
Love separates us from the rest of the world.
1 Cor. 13:4-7 "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

"Two things you told me......"
"that you are strong and you love me..."
i love how because of who He is, I am who I am. He holds me together when my world is shaking. Life is too short to waste it. I've realized that a lot in the past week. He is going to get me through the rough bits and help me be who He created me to be.Eph. 2:10 "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."
I am His masterpiece and His prized possession.
